@ manda.. deepawali is the festival which celebrated by entire India by lighting up small earthen lamps... one of the most important festivals in India !!! check out the blog of ~deeps~ .you will find a lot of good snaps there too...

Deepawali is a festival which represents home-coming of a Hindu God called Ram... his entire kingdom was lit up with small earthen lamps called Diyas or Deepaks when he came back when he came back to his home after killing one of the biggest villians of that time. Lord Ram also spent 14 years in the forests because of a promise his father. All of this is there is a Holy Book called the Ramayana. Lemme see if I can get a link for you....

Thank you soo much.. the story of Rama is very interesting... i have sat here for close to an hour reading about Rama and what Dharma means. :) i feel like i know a little bit more about the Indian culture now! :) In conclusion i have learned that Deepawali is a celebration of the return of the "rightful" king RAMA... yes? THANKS again A~
